Barcelona 3-1 Deportivo Alaves: Player Ratings – Raphinha Shines With 9, Olmo 8.5
Published: 29 November 2025 — Updated 1 hour ago
Barcelona picked up their second consecutive home win at the Spotify Camp Nou, defeating Deportivo Alaves 3-1 in a thrilling La Liga encounter. Unlike their dominant 4-0 victory in the previous match, this clash proved much tighter, as the visitors stunned Barça with an opening goal inside just 45 seconds.
The Catalans responded strongly through goals from Lamine Yamal and Dani Olmo, before Olmo sealed the result with a late strike to secure all three points and temporarily move Barcelona above Real Madrid in the league standings.
Match Summary
Alaves shocked the home crowd with an immediate opener, exploiting poor set-piece defending. Barcelona reacted quickly, controlling possession and generating several big chances.
Yamal equalised with a calm finish, and Olmo later made it 2-1 before halftime.
The second half was more open, with both sides threatening. Despite missed opportunities from Yamal, Raphinha and Olmo, Barcelona eventually sealed a deserved 3-1 win with Olmo’s second goal.
Barcelona vs Alaves — Player Ratings
Joan Garcia – 8.5
Could not keep a clean sheet after defensive lapses in the first minute, but produced several superb saves — including one while lying on the ground. Excellent shot-stopping throughout.
Alejandro Balde – 8
Looked much sharper with Raphinha back in the lineup. Combined well with the Brazilian on the left, repeatedly opening up Alaves’ backline. Solid performance defensively too.
Gerard Martin – 6.5
Not his best outing. His distribution was poor at times and he looked slow tracking back. One good pass contributed to Barcelona’s second goal but overall he struggled.
Pau Cubarsi – 7.5
Tracked back well and managed Alaves’ counter-attacks effectively. Held the offside trap smartly and passed reliably despite a few careless moments.
Eric García – 8
Started at right-back and combined nicely with Yamal. Defended well on the flank. His game ended early after taking a hit to his injured nose, forcing an early substitution.
Marc Casado – 6.5
Was expected to lead the midfield with Pedri and De Jong on the bench. Provided intensity and defensive support, but his distribution was inconsistent.
Marc Bernal – 6.5
First start in over a year. Made understandable mistakes but showed flashes of quality. Decent passing but struggled at times in duels.
Dani Olmo – 8.5
One of the top performers. Excellent between the lines, linked well with Raphinha and Yamal, and scored twice — once in each half. A complete performance.
Lamine Yamal – 8.5
Looked confident and sharp. Scored Barcelona’s equaliser with composure. Should have had another goal but overcomplicated an easy chance.
Robert Lewandowski – 6.5
A quiet game. Failed to hold the ball up and lost possession in key moments. Could have produced more with better control.
Raphinha – 9
Barcelona’s best player.
In his first start after injury, he was electric — making runs behind the defence, creating constant danger, and assisting Dani Olmo’s goal. He also initiated the move that led to Yamal’s strike. His pressing intensity uplifted the entire team.
