Arsenal have reportedly moved ahead of rivals Tottenham Hotspur in the race to sign Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze in a deal worth £60 million plus add-ons. The 27-year-old forward, who began his youth career at Arsenal, is expected to return to north London and link up with Mikel Arteta’s squad before the summer transfer window closes on September 1.

According to sources close to the negotiations, Eze has chosen Arsenal over Tottenham, despite Spurs holding advanced talks with Crystal Palace for over 10 days.
